Discovery Dig
Open at weekends/school holidays and with one free visit included in every child’s entry, here is a great educational attraction that attempts to recreate a real mine shaft. After being kitted out with your miner’s helmet enter the bowels of the earth in our Lucky Strike Mine to dig for gems and rocks.
The great news if that the child takes home whatever he or she finds (which can be as many as five different stones).
Afterwards children can learn about what they dug up on our display boards.If adults and older children wish to take part they can do so for £2 a dig and there is a similar additional charge if a child wants another attempt.
